Earn 10 CML credits at conference
As elected officials, do you want to receive credit for the education areas based on session you attended? Complete the electronic CML evaluation that will be sent to you after conference. Credit will default to the effective local leadership component if an evaluation is not submitted.
The Certificate of Municipal Leadership (CML) program provides local elected officials training to effectively operate within the law, plan for the future, secure and manage funds and foster community and staff relationships. To earn their CML, elected officials need to meet requirements in the following areas and achieve 30 credits.
- Roles, responsibilities and legal requirements
- Public sector resource management
- Community planning and development
- Effective local leadership
Elected officials may also achieve an Advanced Certificate of Municipal Leadership by meeting the basic certificate requirements, achieving a total of 60 credits and completing community service. For more information about the program, click here.
