SAO & MRSC launch financial policy resources
The State Auditor’s Office (SAO) and the Municipal Research Service Center (MRSC) partnered to release a new resource to help local governments establish financial policies. Five key areas of focus include asset management, cost allocation, debt management, fund balances and reserves, and investments. More

Find information about navigating public works in this month’s installment of the Small City Resource Manual: Chapter 9.

The Small City Resource Manual was developed to make life a little easier around city hall, especially for cities of fewer than 5,000 people. Each chapter tackles a different topic and includes relevant resources you may also find helpful. We’ll feature other chapters in the coming months or you can review the manual in its entirety here.
