Mark your calendar for AWC's annual Business Meeting on Thursday, June 22. This important meeting takes place in Vancouver, Washington in conjunction with our Annual Conference. Your city can designate three voting delegates to vote on important issues on your city’s behalf. Send us the names, titles, and city name of your designated voting delegates by June 15. More

Great places in Washington pilot program
The American Planning Association Washington Chapter (APA WA) and the Planning Association of Washington (PAW) are calling for nominations to recognize great neighborhoods in Washington State. Neighborhoods in Eastern and Western Washington will each receive one award. Winning neighborhoods should demonstrate good planning, functional attributes, multi-modal transportation, nice visual design, and social engagement. Applications are due mid-July. More

The 105-day regular session came to a close April 23 and we're now in 30-day special session. Operating and capital budgets have not been adopted yet, and it may take more than 30 days. July 1 is when the state needs a new budget or else the government will shut down. More
