ASCE Infrastructure Report Card released
The American Society of Civil Engineers released their 2017 America’s Infrastructure Report Card that grades the condition and performance of things like highways, wastewater, drinking water, parks, bridges, roads, and more. Ecology Volkswagen settlement survey
Washington is eligible for more than $112 million from the recent Volkswagen settlement finding that the company illegally installed software on many diesel vehicles allowing them to falsely pass emissions tests. Ecology has launched a survey to allow governments to weigh in on the state’s plan to spend the funds. Take the 3-minute survey by March 23. More

Shoreline Management Act Rule Update eLearning
This training introduces proposed changes to Department of Ecology procedural rules for managing shorelines. These rules define how cities and counties can comply with the requirement to periodically review their local shoreline master programs (SMPs) and create an optional process for amending SMPs that reduces duplication by consolidating local and state comment periods. The training explains the draft rules and how to comment. More
