Since last week’s Bulletin, we have little to report other than ongoing behind-the-scenes discussions among legislative leaders and the Governor’s office. Governor Gregoire did sign over 100 bills into law late this week, after withholding her signature to encourage legislators to get serious about concluding their work.
We continue to ask legislators to keep cuts to city-shared revenues to a minimum and to make them effective only through the end of this biennium (June 2013).
For an update on the prospects for a capital budget agreement, see here.
Thanks for your patience and continued interest as we join others in hoping our elected state leaders can come to agreement quickly.
