Bringing cities and towns together to achieve greater results and deliver stronger services is at the heart of AWC’s Strong Cities, Great State campaign.
AWC provides tools so city officials can speak with constituents about the important role of cities and towns, address community needs, and spur action that makes a positive impact on future generations.
Washington’s 281 cities and towns are diverse. That’s why we work together to create and sustain 281 strong cities. When the entire city family is strong, cities and the state flourish.
We listen to what matters most to city officials during regional discussions, visits, conferences and events, and then advocate on behalf of all cities.
Our Member Pooling Programs are member-driven and focus on cost savings, prevention, and excellent customer service. When cities participate in our pooling programs, costs are lower and more predictable, leaving time and money for city officials to invest in their communities.
Through our events, publications, and research efforts, we share and promote strong city stories and provide valuable information that helps local leaders learn from each other and make fact-based decisions.
